Ingredients
- ½ cup butter (or margarine)
- 3 ripe bananas, mashed
- 1¼ cups sugar
- ¼ cup milk
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 cups flour

- ½ tsp baking soda
- ½-1 cup chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)
Instructions
- Cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Mix in the vanilla, eggs, mashed bananas, and milk.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, salt, and baking soda.
- Slowly add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
- Fold in the nuts (or chocolate chips, if desired).
- Pour batter into a greased loaf pan and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 60-70 minutes.
- Let cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
For extra flavor, sprinkle a little brown sugar on top before baking. Store at room temperature for 3-4 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
